Conversion of Power Requirement of Large Cement Manufacturer to 100% Renewable.
A large Cement Conglomerate in India desired to formulate a strategy to convert the power sources from conventional to Renewable source in a phased manner. As part of this engagement, Mercados assisted the client to install captive solar power plants at its 8 plants across India. As part of the engagement, Mercados provided advisory services through EPC vendor selection and PMC services to development of about 85 MW solar power plants.
The overall scope of work included, however not limited to Review & validate EPC Vendors Technical Evaluation Plant Wise; Preparation of EPC Contract Documentation – Scope, DOR, Technical Design Specs, Civil Design, Structural Design, Performance Generation, O&M WO Documentation; Individual Location Project Planning, Project Schedule & Its tracking and management; EPC Ordered PO BOM Supply & Deliveries Follow-up; EPC Design Offered technology Review & Validation; Equipment Selection Validation including Sizing calculation; Documentation for Statutory Approvals CEIG, Metering system, Parallel Operation, Evacuation Permissions, System Studies etc.; Plant Wise Site Execution activities close monitoring to meet timeline & Progress update; Lead Initial PG Performance test after successful Commissioning for each plant; Support for Contract Closure & reconciliation; Support for Side wise O&M Activities Scope framework.
